Job Description

Social Media Business Development Intern

 

We are looking for an individual that has a good understanding of the media industry and looking to start their business development career. This is an excellent opportunity for a current student or recent graduate to learn about the business development process and gain valuable experience in the professional world.

 

The Ideal Candidate will be passionate about these sports and have a strategic mindset that will ultimately help to build a new client portfolio across the EXTREME media brand. You will be responsible for building target profiles and lists of potential partners, and sourcing opportunities for new revenue streams/growth.

 

Responsibilities will include.

 

  • Researching potential partners across all areas.

  • Creating Databases with contact details of potential partners

  • Sending out development emails/messages to potential partners.

  • Help in preparing and working on pitches and sales materials.

  • Monitor social media platforms for trending topics and relevant conversations.

  • Other duties as assigned by the social channels manager and CEO.

  • Keep abreast of industry news and developments.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business operations, Finance or marketing, and other related fields.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in clearly communicating the strategy, either verbally or in written form.

  • A solution-oriented approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure and solve problems timely and effectively.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools for marketing and sales.

 

Personal Characteristic:

 

  • General understanding of business development and sales.

  • The ability to interact with internal and external people at all levels from our CEO to every other internal or external stakeholders.

  • Be a good problem solver with effective analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Not afraid to pitch new ideas and constructive feedback to the Business Development team.

  • General knowledge of branding and strategies with good presentation skills and good attention to detail.

  • Be a positive and energetic team player – be someone we would want to go on a road trip across Europe; hang out at a mountain bike park with; and spend a day surfing!

 

THE INTERNSHIP IS 6 MONTHS LONG WITH A POSIBILITY OF BIENG EXTENDED.

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT FOR 6 MONTHS.

THE INTERNSHIP ONLY COVERS BASIC EXPENSES e.g. Internet

SUITABLE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT PRINCIPLES, AND AN INTEREST IN ACTION/EXTREME SPORTS AND MEDIA INDUSTRY.
