The sixth edition of Lausanne Slopestyle went, by all accounts, very successfully.

It is the premier freeboarding event in the world and attracts participants from all around the globe. The course transforms the area of Lausanne, taking a 700 metre stretch of closed off road and turning it in to a downhill skatepark. The course is made up of features that would typically be found in snowparks - maintaining a relationship between the Slopestyle event and the more common usage of Lausanne. This year, the course reached a whole new level, with over twenty features, including rails and kickers, along the track.

Primarily designed by freeboarders for freeboarders, the event is open to any rider of any downhill discipline. It is thought that around 80% of the riders who took part in this edition of Lausanne Slopestyle were part of the freeboard community. Yuhei Fuda who travelled all the way from Japan to take part in the event endorsed the event, saying “if you are a freeboard rider, you should come here at least once!”, while Jonathan Deloumeaux from Freebord Caribbean described Lausanne as “the place to show everything you can do”.
Here’s hoping that Lausanne Slopestyle Seven will be an even bigger success!
