The EXTREME Hangout is back again, this time with a beach, outdoor activities and the all-important youth led agenda. Following on from the huge success of its debut at COP26 you can join the action via the livestream or in person direct from the beach in Egypt. There is no better place to address the climate change than from nature itself.
The EXTREME hangout is known for giving young people a voice on the environment, and it is again running its dynamic and inspirational hub at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh. From 8-11 November we will be at a fabulous outdoors beachside location at the Park Regency Hotel.
The platform is available for difficult conversations and out of the box thinking. As Amber Nuttall, the founder of the EXTREME Hangout, says “We are not going to change the world with the same thinking that got us into this mess.” We look forward to hosting challenging conversations from COP27 and livestreaming these to the world.
Young and underrepresented people want their voices heard and have little participation in the formal proceedings. EXTREME made it its mission to give them a seat at the table and a platform for their voice to be heard.
A 4 day showcase of live discussion, education and entertainment, plus early morning yoga and snorkelling. Inspiring, empowering conversations on climate action will be live streamed to a global audience. Panel discussions from opinion formers and leaders in their field, curated by us and our partners, with young people from around the world involved in every conversation.

Background: The EXTREME Hangout was launched at COP26 in Glasgow and became a leading fringe event. We took over a repurposed ferry on the River Clyde, close to the main action, where we ran an 11 day youth conference and hub with over 200 high profile speakers, 5000 visitor and 5 million video impressions.
