EXTREME Drift Allstars Series heads to London for first leg of European tour

EXTREME Drift Allstars will bring the most thrilling motorsport action to the streets of London on May 17th and 18th. Drifting was born on the streets of Japan, and is now a worldwide phenomenon, immortalised in movies and video games. This is a rare chance to see the real thing, with some of the best drivers in the world competing at the highest level.

Car fans will be able to get up close to the action, smell the tyre smoke, and hear the roar of the engines on a custom-built urban track. Witness all the thrills, and inevitable spills, of drift racing, usually only found in the mountain roads of Japan.

This is the first event of the EXTREME Drift Allstars European Series, and the only one to be held in the UK. It will be at the Stratford International Quarter, London. It will see 40 top international drivers from 14 nations compete on a customised urban track. The tour will then head off to six other locations in Europe; including Czech Republic, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, finishing off in Poland. Drama, thrills and action guaranteed.

Cars start revving at 9am on Saturday, with practice rounds and qualifying, followed by the heats and winners ceremony on Sunday. The International Quarter in Stratford will be converted in to a specially designed race track and this urban event will push drivers to the very limit of car control. Fun and action for all ages with a modified car show kids zone and some of the best action from London's only motorsport event this year.

EXTREME have partnered with Drift Allstars Series to help develop and grow the sport and support the team with strategy, planning, business development, marketing and media rights advice. The series is becoming well established attracting between 5,000 to 20,000 people per event.

Tickets prices start from £15 and are available from www.drift-allstars.com/round-1-british-drift-gp.

Notes to Editors: What is Drifting? Drifting is currently Europe's fastest growing motorsport. Originally from Japan it has exploded across the continent. Drifting can often be compared to having the same action as the best moment in Formula 1,World rally, or equivalent motorsport etc, but it is run time and time again, keeping the crowd in total awe of the car control. Drivers are measured on how much angle, speed, style and overall impact that a driver can navigate a circuit of turns in. It is truly one of the best motorsport shows out there.
