EXTREME INTERNATIONAL CAPTURES ALL THE ACTION FROM THE MOST RADICAL RALLY RACE IN THE WORLD.

THE BRIEF: 

As part of the vision 2030, Saudi hosting the Dakar Rally for the first time and the incredible vision of Qiddiya, EXTREME International were invited to amplify the reach of the event and its successful new journey.

 

With a large number of competitors, influencer and local audience it was about creating content that amplify the overarching investment in tourism and entertainment as well as placing Qiddiya on the map both nationally and globally.

THE PROCESS: 

EXTREME International partnered up and sponsored four teams competing in Dakar: Race World Team, Benjamin Melot Racing, Sabertooth and Vendetta Racing. The EXTREME team joined the teams in Saudi Arabia and followed them throughout their gruelling two week marathon rally. 

 

EXTREME International released Unreel updates throughout the event via their Facebook page -https://www.facebook.com/Extreme/. This included a launch video, daily highlights, team videos, Dakar heroes tribute, the finish for each team and a round up video.

THE RESULTS:

EXTREME International's  sponsored teams had huge success with Benjamin Melot finishing 2nd overall in the Original by Motul (Bike) category, winning 5 stages along the way. Race World Team secured a top ten finish ranking 9thoverall in the T.1 (car) category, thanks to drivers Yasir Seaidan & Kuzmich Aleksy. Sabertooth team finished 34th overall again in the T.1 (car) category, led by  Thomas Bell and co-driver Patrick McMurren.

 

With the Dakar rally increasing in popularity each year it wasn’t a surprise that EXTREME achieved over 180,000 views and attracted a huge worldwide reach of over 850,000 people.
