About the role
We are seeking an experienced channel manager who has deep knowledge and passion for social platforms, including experience producing work for a variety of social networks. This opportunity is for someone who is passionate for social media, lives and breathes the platforms and is knowledgeable about the latest trends in the social media landscape, has a broad understanding of social publishers and the creator economy.
As a channel manager, you will be focusing on developing and implementing clear content output, creative and distribution strategies. You will be driving our jointly agreed vision and overall performance of the social channels with our social media team. You will be responsible for reaching and exceeding the set growth and revenue goals by growing our audience, analysing data/content performance, spotting social media trends, and suggesting improvements to inform the approach, scheduling, and content output.

Required Skills and Experience:

4+ years experience managing high-performing social channels, preferably in media, entertainment, adventure, or creator-led spaces.

A strong background in social media team management.

Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with platform management tools like Meta Business Suit, and social listening tools and in platform analytics. e.g. Social Insights, Sprout.

An understanding of Extreme/action sports, motorsports, sustainability, and the subcultures that exist around them.

Excellent understanding of optimised content formats for a variety of digital platforms.

A strategic mindset, be able to create a plan for the future of the social channels.

Understanding of copyright, IP, and media laws relevant to digital publishing.

proficiency in photo and video editing software would be a plus(Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva etc)
Responsibilities:

Develop strategic and operational plans for the channel’s growth in multi-platform content delivery and revenue generation.

Using data and sights to provide direction to the creative and content teams

Overseeing of all Extreme content output on social channels.

Plan and determine the content schedules for Facebook, Instagram, multiple TikTok channels, and Snapchat.

Use platform specific analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Studio etc) to monitor and analyse content performance and provide actionable insights.

Analyse social platforms and how each of them uniquely impacts audience behaviour and content performance.

Manage and approve the captions and packaging of content prepared by Social Editors for various platforms.

Upload and manage YouTube feed videos, ensuring they align with content strategies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for any questions related to platform-specific content at any given time.

Review and provide feedback on social video edits, with a particular focus on Facebook content.

Following the Extreme brand guidelines with all edits of content while also being compliant with social media community guidelines.

Maintain a strong understanding of all social video platforms, staying informed on new features and updates.

A qualification in Media Production, Communications, Digital Production/Publishing, or related field is not essential but would be advantageous.
