The Role
We’re on the hunt for a YouTube Channel Manager who lives and breathes YouTube. This is a hands-on strategic and creative role, where you’ll lead growth across multiple owned and operated channels — shaping content strategies, running high-impact launches, and driving performance at scale. You'll collaborate with editors, content managers, and brand partners to create compelling, binge-worthy formats and manage a team of junior creatives and freelancers.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing social channels, with a strong focus on YouTube, and extensive experience in growing viewership and revenues using data to drive decisions. An excellent understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for developing video assets is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

Own the strategy, scheduling, and growth of Extreme’s YouTube channels

Lead publishing operations including titling, thumbnailing, metadata optimisation, playlists, cards, and end screens

Analyse performance data and use insights to inform ongoing creative direction

Collaborate with the production and social teams on cross-platform campaigns

Identify growth opportunities across formats, audience segments, and partnerships

Oversee A/B testing, SEO optimisation, and retention strategies

Manage and mentor junior team members, freelancers, and interns

Serve as key point of contact with external creators, athletes, and collaborators

Keep ahead of platform updates, audience behaviour shifts, and best practices

Contribute to branded content pitches and post-campaign reporting for commercial clients
About You

3–5 years’ experience managing YouTube channels at a media company, digital studio, or agency

Proven track record of growing and optimising YouTube audiences and channels

Deep understanding of content strategy, SEO, thumbnails, storytelling, and analytics

Creative thinker with editorial instinct and a data-led mindset

Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with stakeholders, talent, and clients

Experience in adventure/lifestyle, documentary, sports, or creator-led content a major plus

Confident managing a small team or collaborating across departments

Tools: YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, TubeBuddy/VidIQ, Adobe Creative Suite, Looker Studio
