About the Opportunity

We are looking for a brilliant person join the team who has a passion for and a very good understanding of social media, (tourism if possible) and driving business development.  We have significant demand for our offer and this is an idea opportunity for the right person to work with a great team and a fast-growing business. Working with and alongside the senior team your role will be to manage business development and the sales process, manage the incoming opportunities, create and manage sales decks, drive sales, build target lists, reach out to potential clients and run follow up to drive closure.

The Ideal candidate will be charismatic and passionate about adventure travel and adventure sport and have a strategic mindset that will ultimately help to build and manage the client portfolio across the EXTREME media.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote / Part time in office if wanted

Compensation: Salary plus commission, plus bonus.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Manage business development and the sales process overall.

  • Manage the incoming enquiries.

  • Researching potential partners across and identifying new business opportunities for Extreme Social Media Management services.

  • Creating and growing Databases with contact details of potential partners.

  • Actively sending out development emails/messages to potential partners offering social media management services.

  • Preparing and working on compelling pitches and sales materials.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners and clients.

  • Monitor social media platforms for trending topics and relevant conversations.

  • Other duties as assigned by the social channels manager and CEO.

  • Keep abreast of industry news and developments.

  • Gather market and industry data to inform business development strategies.

 

Desired Experience, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • 3 - 5 years of brand partnership and business development

  • A Tourisms Network if at all possible

  • Social media / media sales and business development experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment)

  • Experience of managing biz dev email campaigns.

  • Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in clearly communicating the strategy, either verbally or in written form.

  • ·A solution-oriented approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure and solve problems timely and effectively.

 

Personal Characteristic:

  • Good understanding of business development and sales.

  • Charismatic personality and persuasion skills.

  • The ability to interact with internal and external people at all levels from our CEO to every other internal or external stakeholders.

  • Be a good problem solver with effective analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Not afraid to pitch new ideas and constructive feedback to the senior team.

  • General knowledge of branding and strategies with good presentation skills and good attention to detail.

  • Be a positive and energetic team player be someone we would want to go on a road trip across Europe; hang out at a mountain bike park with; and spend a day surfing!
