The Freeride World Tour is back for the 2019 season and you can catch all the action on EXTREME.
EXTREME will be broadcasting the event once again following the successful partnership for last year’s championship which saw a total of 618k views and a media reach of 3 million across all media platforms.
The Freeride World Tour sees the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders tackle some of the best backcountry around the world, pushing them to their absolute limits in order to be crowned the best in the world. This first stop in the tour is Hakuba, Japan, a winter hub popular for it’s awesome mountains with tons of powder and crazy slopes providing perfect terrain for riders to show their skills.
Skiers Kristofer Turdell, and Arianna Tricomi will be looking to defend their crowns in the male and female categories respectively. Manuela Mandl will be looking to defend her own title in the female snowboarding category whilst US snowboarder Sammy Luebke will be going for his 4th title in a row.
This year’s competition will be even more thrilling to watch with the addition of some exciting wildcards such as freeride legend Travis Rice in the men’s snowboarding category in what many fans are calling the most exciting field for the event to date.
