'It's grease, glamour and guts in equal measures' Burt Reynolds
Extreme Entertainment, the Tv Distribution division of the Extreme Group and one of the worlds leading TV programme producers and distributors start to film the Gumball 3000 rally tonight following signing a long term exclusive deal for the television rights to the now legendary marathon driving event, the Gumball 3000 rally.
This year's event the contestants will take a breakfast with the Real Madrid football team, party with the King of Morocco, and take in the Barcelona Grand Prix before crossing the finishing line in Cannes France the day before the Film festival.
The line-up includes actors Burt Reynolds and Orlando Bloom, rapper Pharrell, model Jodie Kidd, as well as most of the original Jackass cast. There will also be very strong representation from the Extreme Sports community, with skateboard gurus Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek, Dave Mirra, Travis Pastrana, Carey Hart, Corey Nastasio and last but not least, Bam Margera from Viva La Bam all taking part in the rally.
Gumball 3000 has proved to be a TV ratings winner in recent years, and when presenters from MTV prankster show Jackass took part in the event it drew in MTV USA's highest audience for the year.
Extreme is producing a one-off 90 minute and a series of 6 x 30 minute programs covering the madness and happenings that make the Gum ball what it is, all of which is available for sale on a world wide basis.
