Nicholi Rogatkin sends it all the way to 1st place in Crankworx

In his second win of the year, 21 year-old STANLEY and EXTREME rider Nicholi Rogatkin left viewers with their jaws firmly planted beneath their feet after an unreasonably good run, to win the slopestyle at Crankworx Innsbruck.

In an all or nothing style performance, Nicholi started with a 1080 spin and finished with a tailwhip cashroll, a trick of myth and legend in the MTB world. Not to mention the silly amount of tailwhips in-between, no doubt his bike must have been feeling legless after the run.

“I honestly wasn’t thinking of doing a cash roll-tailwhip until five minutes before my final run”

Nicholi’s main competitor Rheeder, who joined him at the top of the table was left as speechless as the rest of us by the run, “It’s hard when someone like Nicholi comes in and throws a curveball into the sport” Rheeder said, referring to the sheer magnitude of Rogatkin’s tricks. Defeating Rheeder however, was no small task, he laid down a technically and stylishly impeccable run scoring a 95.66.

Nicholi’s win sets him up nicely for the chance to win the Crankworx ‘triple crown’. If he is undefeated in Whistler later this year he will end up with 50k of fun tokens. Good luck Nicholi we hope you can pull it off!
