Extreme Sports Channel has commissioned a documentary following Taϊg Khris' Guinness world record attempt of the highest ever jump in inline skates, Taїg – Jumping The Tower. The one-hour programme documents the full story behind the record set at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on 29 May 2010.
Two years in the making, it follows the ups and downs of Taїg Khris and his team as they grapple with funding, permissions and logistics issues over construction of the biggest skate ramp in history and the death-defying jump at one of the most famous landmarks in the world. In free falling 12.5 metres onto the ramp, Taїg reached 100km/h on his skates with only 16 metres stopping distance in front of a crowd of 100,000. The documentary explores the safety measures put in place and last minute alterations which made the record possible.
The documentary is produced by Puzzle Media and is due to premiere on Extreme Sports Channel in March 2011 across all channel feeds.
With well-known Polish team members including F1 Powerboat victor, Bartłomiej Marszałek, freestyle skier Staszek Karpiel-Bułecka and stunt artist Piotr Kaban Piotrowski, the events are guaranteed to get hearts racing and put Poland on the map as a truly daring nation.
Taϊg Khris is one of the most recognisable and respected extreme sportsmen. He is an X Games multiple-gold medallist and appears in the computer game Aggressive Inline. Taϊg is also the face of L'Oréal in France and appeared in the French version of Survivor. The record attempt in Paris attracted worldwide media attention and was reported in 167 countries
