Key Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on legal documentation including term sheets, NDAs, services agreements, commission arrangements, personnel contracts.

 

  • Drafting variations to existing agreements.

 

  • Owning the agreement execution process.

 

  • Organising and maintaining the electronic database of executed agreements.

 

  • Maintaining and updating the database of template documents.

 

  • Provide assistance and support to other legal specialists involving a variety of legal work, including the gathering of factual information and researching the law. 

 

  • Assist in the administration of contracts, policies and other documentation.

  • Taking responsibility for the document management system.

  • Conducting research on English and international law.

  • Provide basic legal advice, best practice guides and policy documents.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Higher professional education in the legal field, at a minimum of:
     

    • English law degree plus Legal Practice Course; OR​

    • Non-law degree plus UK Graduate Diploma in Law plus Legal Practice Course.
       

  • Some relevant experience in a legal/ business environment (ideally as a paralegal or legal administrator/ assistant).
     

  • Experience with review and management of commercial contracts.
     

  • Has practical knowledge of legal documentation and elementary knowledge on rules, regulations and laws.
     

  • Excellent computer skills.
     

  • Preferably experience of working in a fast-paced team environment.

Personal Characteristics

  • Demonstrable competence in writing and editing documents, in all Office applications.
     

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to nuance messaging of complex topics for different audiences.
     

  • High level planning and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
     

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
     

  • Can-do attitude with an enthusiasm to connect with the team and their work.
     

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
     

  • Willingness to embrace change in a dynamic corporation.
     

  • Be a positive and energetic team player – be someone we would want to go on a road trip across Europe; hang out at a mountain bike park with; and spend a day surfing!
