With an estimated 220 million global participants all with a shared attitude, a large and fast growing industry worth $200 billion per annum, Olympic inclusion for multiple disciplines and multiple of the top 5 sports on Facebook and Youtube… Extreme sports are now commanding attention from the traditionally mainstream focused brands.

 

Extreme and adventure sports are growing rapidly in contrast to most traditional sports. In the last 20 years participation in skateboarding has surged 49% and snowboarding is up 51% to mention a few. Basketball participation has declined 17%.
