Job Description
EXTREME Hangout – General Manager
Background
Inspired by our love of adventure sports, the natural world and our passion to protect the planet, The Extreme Hangout was established by EXTREME International as a climate action events platform in 2021. Our collective mission is to give young changemakers and underrepresented communities a voice, popularise the climate movement and inspire environmental action.
We launched in Glasgow at COP26, delivered alongside The New York Times at COP27 in Egypt and then in recognition of our growing movement and community, the United Nations COP28 organising committee invited us to deliver Extreme Hangout in the official COP28 Green Zone at Expo City, Dubai in 2023. To date, there have been 17 Extreme Hangout Events across Europe, Middle East, Africa, North and South America with over 900 prestigious speakers taking to our stage, delivering over 8 million video views to date.
