Chairman - Alistair Gosling - 'Group Daddy' founded Extreme in 1995. Passionate
about the company and extreme sports, Al set up Extreme with the goal of mixing
sports and business, working with great people and having fun while making it
happen. Under his leadership the Extreme Group has grown to employ over 250
people, have representation in over 70 countries and is one of the fastest
growing brands and companies across a number of sectors. Al is still completely
passionate about the sports that give him his drive and passion for the business
and when not in the office you will find him either windsurfing, kite surfing,
flying, ice climbing or skiing somewhere in the world.
CEO - Geoff Parkinson - 'Silver Fox' holds a degree in Hotel and
Catering Administration from the University of Surrey, is a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Fellow of the
Institute of Hospitality, Fellow of the British Association of Hospitality
Accountants, Fellow of the Tourism Society and a Member of a number of related
sector associations. Prior to joining Extreme Hotels Worldwide, he established
Hotel Investment Advisors providing Asset Management and Advisory Services to
the hospitality sector, was Managing Director of Christie Consulting
International and for many years prior to that was a Partner in BDO Stoy
Hayward, Chartered Accountants and Lead Director of Horwath Consulting.
Development and Construction - Josef Ransley - 'The Prof'
A
British National, was born in Belgium and educated there and in the UK. Very
much an internationalist, Josef speaks 4 languages and has worked with most of
the major hotel groups on more than 150 hotels in over 30 countries. The
combination of deep specialist discipline, experience and keen awareness of
broader business development has led to visiting lectureships in Bournemouth,
Southampton and Surrey Universities and Professor of Development and
Construction, MBA programme at Essex University, Paris and many contributions to
International conferences as well as adjudication of Architectural and Interior
Design Competitions. He has an intimate knowledge of all criteria needed to
create successful, profitable and unique landmark projects for all involved.
Head of Development - Graham McCourt Dipl. Arch., R.I.B.A. - 'Quick draw' completed his undergraduate and postgraduate level studies at Portsmouth School of Architecture, with a final thesis on Hotel Design. He has been a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects since 1975. From 1980 to 2003, Graham worked in a variety of roles for Holiday Inns / Bass Hotels & Resorts / Intercontinental Hotels Group and has held positions including Vice President Design & Construction (responsible for company owned, managed and franchised hotels) and Vice President Franchise Services; both roles covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He was also responsible for the design and launch of Express by Holiday Inn in Europe (together with Josef Ransley in the role of consultant designer), and continued to be responsible for design and property issues for this successful brand until 2003. Within the architectural field, one of Graham's main interests as been to support the development of off-site construction and sub-assemblies for buildings, Graham has also been involved with the management of the franchising side of the business and at one stage qualified as a hotel general manager within the Holiday Inn system so that he was better placed to direct the delivery of revenue improvement plans and other operational initiatives for hotels in the franchise system. All this gives him a unique perspective on the vital relationship between hotel development costs and what can be returned from the on-going hotel operations; together with the impact of good hotel design on hotel guests and staff. Since leaving Holiday Inn Graham has spent 7 years in private practice, working and has worked on a over 250 hotel developments to date
Brand Creative Director - Patrick Milenuszkin - 'The Conductor' Having got a Bachelor of science in Economics and Finance from the University of York Patrick moved into design and attended the London College of Fashion. In 2003 he started up his own fashion business JJM Clothing with Rebecca and began designing and sourcing for brands. Building an extensive database of Far Eastern factories into his portfolio Patrick has designed collections as diverse as top-end designer cashmere to Topshop's fast fashion. With a passion for trying new things and being dedicated to a life without constraints Patrick loves working within Extreme.
Head of Intellectual Property and Brand protection Darren Olivier - 'The Brand detective' works externally and manages brand portfolios for a number of clients from start-ups to large multinational companies. He was previously head of IP at Dunlop Slazenger Group Limited and a partner at a city law firm's rated Trademark and Brand Protection Group. He is a dual qualified solicitor and a total expert in his field.
