Extreme Energy is the NUMBER 1 selling Energy drink in France

Extreme Energy, the all natural energy drink from Extreme Drinks, has seen a meteoric rise among the discerning palettes and extreme sports athletes of the French population. It is now the number 1 selling energy drink in France.

Only launched into France in September 2003, Extreme Drinks, in partnership with their French distributor, IBB, have achieved phenomenal distribution throughout the whole country. The entire drinks range is now stocked in over 4000 supermarkets and hypermarkets, 500 Shell petrol stations, has blanket coverage throughout the Alps, on the coast and in all major French cities. Plus Extreme Energy, the pure energy drink, has gained exclusive listings in more than 200 of the top style bars in central Paris, namely Le Queen, Doobie’s, Man Ray, Maxines, and Maison Blanche, while their water brand ‘H20 No Gas’ has carved itself a niche in hyper-trendy boutique water bar Chez Colette, as well as in the world famous grocery store, La Grande Epicerie.

Extreme Energy has been particularly well received due to the distinct dislike of the potentially harmful and unhealthy ingredients in other energy drinks, such as Taurine and Glucuronolactone. Extreme Energy offers them an alternative that actually works, but is made from purely natural ingredients including Guarana, Ginseng and Kombucha (fermented tea).

Combined, these give Extreme Energy a great taste without the sickly sweetness of many other drinks, offering PURE ENERGY rather than a combination of just sugar, water and artificial additives which give a short-term, unnatural high followed by a crashing blood sugar low.

On the marketing side, Extreme Drinks are strongly supporting their sales in France with a countrywide billboard campaign, sponsorship of major extreme sports events, extreme athletes (http://www.extremedrinks.com/riders/index.htm) and key VIP parties in Paris, Hossegor and Cannes. Extreme Drinks have also launched a long-term, pan European sponsorship deal with the Extreme Sports Channel to sponsor The Video Stack, a daily program showing the best movies from around the world. The Extreme Sports Channel broadcasts in 53 countries, reaching 18 million homes in 10 different languages and in France is available on Canal Satellite and Noos cable to 2.7million homes.

Editorial Note
The story so far.
One afternoon in August 2001 two friends, Tim Day and Al Gosling, founder of the Extreme Sports Channel, were in Tarifa, southern Spain. Tarifa is well known for its epic wind conditions, perfect for kite and windsurfing. However, that week there was virtually no wind, so with little else to do they were hanging out at the "Spin Out" bar on the beach shooting the breeze and nursing killer hangovers.

While chilling in the Spanish sun and discussing life, Extreme and the recent success of another bullish drinks company, they decided there was a gap in the beverage market. Al, being completely hyperactive, wanted something to help him chill out, while Tim, having been out partying until the early hours of the morning, was in need of some serious energy, but didn’t want to pump his body full of artificial ingredients and additives. They saw an opportunity to launch a new drinks company offering a range of functional drinks, incorporating natural ingredients and satisfying different lifestyle occasions.

Returning to London Tim left his job, rocked up at Extreme's office looking for a desk. Using Al's EX Extreme brand and Tim's passion, imagination, and enthusiasm, they then spent twelve months learning about the drinks industry, and developing the awesome range of drinks that are Extreme Drinks today. Extreme Drinks launched in early 2003 and continues to go from strength to strength.

Extreme Drinks are now available in the USA, France, UK, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and New Zealand.

Extreme Drinks is part of the Extreme Group
