The Extreme Group is very pleased to announce it has just
appointed Terry Hauss, a leading International licensing and
biz development executive, who has worked for Warner Bros.
Consumer Products, across Superman, Batman, The Matrix,
Harry Potter, Sony Consumer Products and Iconix brands, he
is currently a Director of The Licensing Management Group (LMG).
The appointment and role is to represent and drive business
development for Extreme’s full collection of twenty two
companies and licenses including Extreme hotels, Extreme
Freshies (café/restaurants), Extreme Drinks, Extreme Travel,
Ex Parks theme parks, Extreme Cred (credit cards), and the
licensing and consumer products side which encompasses
Extreme Stores, clothing, footwear, sports equipment and
watches across the entire Asia Pacific region.
The Extreme Group board has pin pointed Asia and expansion
in the region as a key strategic move due to the
opportunities that the brand is already being offered from
the pacific rim and the rapid growth that the whole region
is currently experiencing. Due to how well the brand is
doing beyond Asia and the significant amount of business
development work already done to date there are a number of
major deals close to signing in Thailand, China, Malaysia
and discussions are happening across Australia, Korea, Japan
and Hong Kong.
Terry Hauss, the licensing guru, has been involved with
retail, licensing, franchising and manufacturing for over 30
years and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and
experience. He and his team have a sterling record of
developing new businesses and are perfectly positioned to
drive Extreme across Asia. He has had huge success in
strategic planning and driving forward innovative product
development programs into new and expanding business
markets.
Hauss has worked with Warner Bros. for 4 years as their key
Asian consultant where he worked across all divisions of AOL
Time Warner, which included Consumer Products, Television,
Home Video and Publishing. He developed and launched their
first licensed retail store in Thailand and he will be
applying this model to the Extreme Store offering throughout
Asia. He has worked at Licensing Management Group (LMG)
since 2005 where he holds his current position as a Director
of the company. He is appointing additional agents in key
countries over the region who will handle the Extreme roll
out programs from an operational level on the ground. Hauss
has also represented several Studios in the past, such as
Sony Consumer Products, Turner Home Entertainment Consumer
Products, Marvel Comics, Smiley, Astro Boy (Japan), New Line
Cinema and MGM Studies to name a few.
‘This is just brilliant, following to a number of our
companies and our licensing program flying in Europe it is a
natural progression for us to push into the ever-expanding
and all encompassing Asian market.’ says Al Gosling, CEO of
the Extreme Group. ‘We are really well positioned to thrive
in the region and I am thoroughly enjoying working hand in
hand with Terry, with his experience, tenacity, excellent
knowledge of the market and bulging contact books we are
moving quickly, making it happen and getting things done
together.’
“The Extreme Group is the first company I have seen to
develop the Extreme Culture into a fully integrated Brand”.
“I see a tremendous amount of potential in extending The
Extreme Group’s various business categories and
opportunities, from Extreme Hotels to Extreme Drinks
throughout all of Asia”, says Terry. “I find working with
such an Entrepreneurial team from the Extreme Group, to be
incredibly stimulating, as they are quick and flexible in
making business decisions and are very focused in the
direction they see their company growing”. “I am honored to
be a part of this rapidly growing culture with someone with
the vision Al Gosling brings to the table”.
